Emergency Assistance

The pantry is maintained at Findlay Street Neighborhood House and food is dispensed daily to the homeless and others in need of immediate assistance with food. Other emergency assistance include, making referrals to assist with securing funds for rent, utilities and other basic necessities. All families who participate in other services are eligible for this assistance. Families also received help during the holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas food bags. Selected families participate in the Adopt a Family for Christmas program which is generally funded by St. Barnabas Church.

This year, employees from General Mills and Proctor & Gamble 'SWIC Beauty Care QA' group have joinned in and adopted families.

During Thasnksgiving, 130 families received groceries. A total of 123 families received Christmas food baskets.  These baskets are equivalent to a week's worth of groceries. An additional 60 families received gifts, clothing, and groceries. Below are pictures of our employees, members of St. Barnabas Church, and families that were adopted.
